If you don't believe hard work, loyalty and self-discipline pay off, I'm here to tell you not to give up. I started working for this company as a caregiver in April of 2016 and 4 months later I got my first promotion. In the years since, I've worked in almost every position within the agency, from Field Supervisor to Administrator. On August 1st of 2023 I officially took over as sole owner. College and a fancy degree didn't get me here, I just paid attention and took every opportunity presented to me to learn and grow. As a former paramedic, being on the home care side of the world has been a breath of fresh air that has come with a different kind of fulfillment for me. I truly enjoy serving my community and working with elderly, disabled and families in general to provide a better quality of life. As a business owner, it's really important to me that my employees feel supported, valued and taken care of. I would not be where I am without the amazing team beside me who has fought  with me to make this agency what it is.

After completing my formal education in Medical Billing and Coding, I began my career here at A Little R&R Home Care. In March 2015, I started as an intern with a small but promising company. At the time, the organization was still growing and unable to support a full office staff, so I made the difficult decision to seek full-time employment elsewhere. Despite that, I truly valued my experience and always hoped to return as the company expanded.

In October 2016, I rejoined the team, initially balancing part-time roles in both the office and as a caregiver. Within several months, I transitioned into a full-time office position. Through hard work and dedication, I’ve had the opportunity to grow professionally and now serve as the Billing and Payroll Manager, as well as the Backup Administrator in DeeAnna’s absence.

Being part of a company that truly values its staff, clients, and community means a great deal to me. This is more than just a job—it’s a meaningful career, and I am proud to contribute to the ongoing success of A Little R&R Home Care for years to come.

My journey with A Little R&R didn’t start the way most might expect. I wasn’t searching for a lifelong career in caregiving—I was young, bouncing between dead-end jobs, when I came across an Indeed posting for caregivers. I figured, why not? Little did I know, that one random click in October of 2016 would open the door to the most rewarding chapter of my life.

From day one, I was hooked. What began as “just a job” quickly became something much more meaningful. I found myself connecting deeply with each client. Their stories, advice, and life experiences shaped me in ways I never saw coming. Their wisdom pulled me out of my carefree, drifting lifestyle and helped guide me into a more grounded, adult mindset. Suddenly, I wasn’t just clocking in—I was being inspired, challenged, and molded.

It didn’t take long for me to realize: this was the company I wanted to grow with. So in August of 2017, after some good-natured pestering toward the incredible women in the office, they finally agreed to let me take on the role of Receptionist—my first-ever office job, complete with my very own desk, decorated just the way I wanted. Life was good.

The time flew by, and my curiosity only grew. I wanted to understand every part of the agency, so I rolled up my sleeves and dabbled in just about every position in the office. Each role brought new lessons and perspectives, and I loved them all for different reasons. The best part? We’re a team that wears many hats—everyone knows a little about everyone’s job, which makes collaboration and support second nature.

Even though my love for the job never faded, life took me on a detour in late 2018, and I made the tough decision to move to California. But I always had a feeling I’d be back—and in June of 2020, I was.

Deeanna welcomed me back like no time had passed. I returned to my previous role as Human Resources Manager, and it’s still the title I proudly hold today.

The truth is, my love for this agency runs deep. It’s unconditional. There have been challenges and triumphs, laughter and learning, but through it all, I’ve never been able to picture myself working anywhere else. This isn’t just a job. It’s a family. And I have A Little R&R to thank for the person I am today.
